If you've ever heard someone say "I can't drink coffee, it's too acidic," you've met the reason low-acid coffee exists.
What "acidic" means in coffee
Coffee naturally contains acids. They give it a bright, tangy edge, and some people find that edge sharp. Low-acid coffee is coffee with a smoother, mellower taste and less of that bite.
What makes coffee less acidic
A few things matter. The bean and where it's grown play a part: Cats & Cosby Coffee is 100% Arabica, grown at high altitudes in rich volcanic soil. Roasting matters too, since a medium roast like this one tends to taste rounder and more balanced than a very light roast. Freshness helps as well, which is why we roast to order in small batches.
How it tastes
Expect a smooth, satisfying cup with notes of milk chocolate, honey, caramel and cocoa, and no bitterness.
Try it
